Marbella has been officially selected as one of the host cities for the 2027 T100 World Championship Tour, reinforcing its reputation as one of Europe’s leading destinations for international sport and luxury tourism. The prestigious event will take place on 18–19 September 2027, welcoming the world’s top professional triathletes to compete on the Costa del Sol.
The T100 is part of the newly launched Triathlon World Tour, created by World Triathlon and the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) to unite the sport under a single global championship series. Marbella will host the fifth stage of the circuit, joining renowned destinations such as Gold Coast, Singapore, San Francisco, and Vancouver.
City officials described the appointment as another milestone in Marbella’s international growth, highlighting its world-class sporting infrastructure, exceptional climate, and proven ability to host major global events. The championship is expected to attract thousands of athletes, spectators, and visitors, generating significant economic benefits while further strengthening the city’s position as a premier destination for luxury living, active tourism, and year-round events.
