Spain’s tourism sector continues to show strong momentum, reaching 91.5 million international visitors by November 2025 — the highest figure ever recorded for this period, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE). With 5.8 million arrivals in November alone, tourist numbers grew by 3.4% year-on-year, putting the country within reach of the symbolic 100-million mark pending December results.
Tourism spending is growing even faster than arrivals, reinforcing the sector’s role as a key economic driver. International tourists spent more than €8 billion in November, a 5% increase compared to the same month last year. Average spending per visitor reached €1,399, while average daily expenditure rose to €188, highlighting a continued shift toward higher-value tourism.
The UK remained Spain’s top source market, followed by Germany, while France saw a notable decline. Regionally, the Canary Islands led arrivals in November, with Andalucía standing out for strong growth. Hotels continued to outperform other accommodation types, confirming solid demand for traditional hospitality as Spain heads toward another record-breaking tourism year.
